Hi there! I’m Trew Love

Trew Love is an artist and visionary who's work has been shown across the nation and around the globe. Raised by an art teacher, her skills began early.

As a makeup artist, she worked backstage for New York Fashion Week on the teams for Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Philip Lim, and Rodarte.

As she leaped from makeup into art, she culminated her skill sets to create an illustrated makeup tutorial book, Trew Basics.

Her career in pop art began in Los Angeles in 2014 where her first collection, “POP LIFE”, was shown alongside artists such as Gregory Siff, Blek le Rat, Shepard Fairey and more.

In 2019, Trew Love created a wall sculpture collection called “SUGAR COATED” using candy and sugar imagery to spotlight social and political topics with a twist of dad humor.

After moving back to her hometown Kansas City in 2021, Trew Love was selected as one of 124 artists to make a KC Heart for the Parade of Hearts campaign.

Currently, Trew Love is developing "What Would Love Say", a global mural initiative to inspire a world wide community of artists to turn our cities into sanctuaries, one wall at a time.

The Sugar Coated 2 painted series will debut in Kansas City in January, 2025.

Additionally, Trew Love is one of three main characters in an upcoming graphic novel release by Sumerian Comics called "SPRAY SAINTS" that will release in early Spring 2025.

Trew Love is a global visionary who uses art to inspire community engagement.

In a world hungry for Love, Trew's work is a sweet treat that satisfies our deep cravings for truth, healing, connection, all with a sprinkle of humor on top.
